# Getting Help (/docs/getting-started/getting-help)

Every page in the dashboard has a Help button in the top bar, marked with a question mark. Open it to search this documentation or send a message to Resytech support without leaving what you were doing.

You can also open it from the keyboard: press <kbd>?</kbd> anywhere outside a text field, or <kbd>F1</kbd>. On phones and tablets, Help sits in the menu behind the hamburger icon.

The Help panel, documentation search, and Ask AI are available to everyone on your team, so a staff member who cannot reach a particular feature can still read about it. Raising and viewing support tickets needs the **Support Tickets** permission (see [Employees & Roles](/docs/team/employees#support-tickets)); Administrators always have it.

Finding an answer [#finding-an-answer]

When the panel opens, it suggests articles for the page you are on. If you open it from the calendar you get the booking and scheduling pages; if you open it from a report you get the reporting pages.

The search box covers this entire documentation site plus the how-to guides. Results open in a new tab, so the dashboard stays where you left it.

Contacting support [#contacting-support]

Switch to **Contact support** in the panel to raise a ticket. The tab appears when you have **Support Tickets: Edit**. You will be asked for:

| Field | Notes |
| -------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Subject | A short summary. This becomes the ticket title. |
| Category | Question, Problem, Billing, or Feature request. Used for triage. |
| Message | What happened, and what you expected instead. |

Tickets are answered by email, to the address on your user profile. Keep an eye on that inbox, including its spam folder the first time.

What gets sent with your ticket [#what-gets-sent-with-your-ticket]

To save a round trip, each ticket carries some technical context about where you were when you wrote it:

* The dashboard page you were on
* Your app version, browser, and screen size
* Which company and location you were signed in to

It never includes passwords, payment details, or your customers' information.

Tracking your tickets [#tracking-your-tickets]

Open **Tickets** in the Help panel to see what your team has raised and its current state:

| Status | Meaning |
| ----------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Open | With Resytech. |
| Awaiting customer | We have replied and need something from you. |
| Resolved | We believe it is finished. Replying reopens it. |
| Closed | Finished and archived. Replying is not possible; raise a new ticket instead. |

Anyone with a Support Tickets permission sees every ticket raised at the company, and Administrators always do.

With **Support Tickets: Edit** you can add a message to any ticket that is not closed, including one a colleague raised. That is the best way to send a follow-up: it keeps the history in one place instead of starting a fresh thread.

If you cannot sign in [#if-you-cannot-sign-in]

The Help panel lives inside the dashboard, so it is no use when you are locked out. In that case, email [support@resytech.com](mailto:support@resytech.com) directly, or use the contact form on the Resytech website.
