# Installing the App (/docs/mobile-app/installing)



When you first visit the dashboard on a mobile device, you may see an install banner prompting you to add the app to your home screen. You can also install it at any time from the mobile menu or by following the steps below.

Install from the Dashboard [#install-from-the-dashboard]

1. Log in to the Resytech Dashboard on your mobile device
2. Open the **menu** (hamburger icon)
3. Tap **Install App** in the menu footer
4. Follow the platform-specific instructions shown on the install page

iPhone & iPad (iOS) [#iphone--ipad-ios]

iOS requires a manual install through Safari's Share menu:

1. Open the Resytech Dashboard in **Safari** (other browsers on iOS do not support PWA installation)
2. Tap the **Share** button (square with an arrow pointing up) in the toolbar
3. Scroll down and tap **Add to Home Screen**
4. Optionally edit the name, then tap **Add**

The Resytech icon will appear on your home screen. Tapping it launches the dashboard in full-screen mode.

**Note:** Push notifications on iOS require the app to be installed to the home screen. They do not work from the browser alone.

Android [#android]

Android devices support a streamlined install flow:

1. Open the Resytech Dashboard in **Chrome** or **Edge**
2. When prompted, tap **Install** on the banner that appears
3. If no banner appears, tap the **three-dot menu** (⋮) in the top right
4. Tap **Install app** or **Add to Home Screen**
5. Confirm by tapping **Install**

The app will appear in your app drawer and on your home screen.

Desktop (Chrome, Edge) [#desktop-chrome-edge]

1. Open the Resytech Dashboard in **Chrome** or **Edge**
2. Look for the **install icon** (monitor with a down arrow) in the address bar on the right side
3. Click the icon and confirm the installation

The app will open in its own window without browser controls, and a shortcut will be added to your desktop or taskbar.

Verifying Installation [#verifying-installation]

Once installed, the app should:

* Launch from your home screen or app drawer
* Open in full-screen mode without browser navigation controls
* Show the Resytech icon and splash screen during startup

If you visit the install page after the app is already installed, you will see an **Already Installed** confirmation message.

Uninstalling [#uninstalling]

| Platform    | Steps                                                                                            |
| ----------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **iOS**     | Long-press the Resytech icon on your home screen, then tap **Remove App** or **Delete Bookmark** |
| **Android** | Long-press the Resytech icon, then tap **Uninstall** or drag it to **Remove**                    |
| **Desktop** | Open the app, click the three-dot menu in the title bar, then select **Uninstall**               |
