# Editing your website (/docs/website/editing) The website editor has two modes, switched at the top of the left panel: * **Settings**: a short form for the things most operators change. This is where you start, and many operators never need anything else. * **Customize layout**: add, remove, rearrange and edit the sections on each page. The preview on the right is your real website. Changes appear in it immediately, are saved automatically as a draft, and only go live when you [publish](/docs/website/publishing). Use the page picker above the preview to look at other pages, and the desktop and phone buttons to check both sizes. **Preview in new tab** opens the saved draft as a full page. Use **Undo** and **Redo** in the toolbar (or Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+Z) to step back through your changes. See [Address and domains](/docs/website/address-and-domains). | | **Hero** | The big photo, headline, tagline and button at the top of your home page. | | **Colors & type** | Colour preset, fonts and corner style. | | **Featured** | Which activities the home page shows (all, a category, or a list you choose and order) and three "why choose us" highlights. | | **Pages** | Turn the About, FAQ, Gallery and Contact pages on or off. | | **Contact & social** | Opening hours and links to Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. | | **Logo and colours** | Your logo, browser tab icon, and your own main and accent colours instead of a preset. | | **Guest reviews** | Choose survey reviews to show in the testimonials section. See [Pages and menu](/docs/website/pages-and-menu). | | **Header and footer** | The Book Now button label, an announcement bar across the top of every page, and whether the footer shows your phone number and address. | | **Search and tracking** | Search listing text for each page, and analytics. See [Forms, tracking and reviews](/docs/website/forms-tracking-reviews). | Clicking a section in the preview opens the setting that controls it. Customize layout [#customize-layout] Choose **Customize layout**, pick a page above the preview, and the left panel lists that page's sections in order. * **Select a section** by clicking it in the list or in the preview. Its properties open on the right. * **Reorder** by dragging in the list or in the preview, or with the up and down buttons. * **Add a section** from the **Add a block** toolbox. It is added after the selected section. * **Copy** or **delete** the selected section with the buttons above its properties. Some sections are required by the template, such as the activity details on activity pages; these show a lock and can be edited but not removed. * **Reset page to template** puts the page back to the template's layout. You can undo it. Hidden on the live site when there is nothing to show. | | Frequently asked questions | Your questions and answers, optionally with your cancellation policies. | | Activity photos | Photos from your activities. | | Contact details | Your address, phone, email, opening hours and a directions link. | | Contact form, Newsletter | Forms that add people to your CRM. | | Call to action | A short band with a button. | Sections that use your data, such as Activities or Testimonials, stay up to date on their own. Template settings and section properties [#template-settings-and-section-properties] Some section properties come from a template setting. For example, the home page hero's photo comes from **Hero > Hero photo**. The properties panel says so. If you change such a property directly in the layout editor, that section keeps your change and the setting shows **"This setting has a layout override"** with a **Use template setting** button to undo the override. Images [#images] Image fields open your image library: your activity photos plus images you upload for the website. You can upload JPEG, PNG or WebP files up to 5 MB, and keep up to 100 uploaded images. Images are resized for fast loading automatically. You can delete an uploaded image once no draft or published page uses it.
