# Sell Products Online (/how-to/pos/sell-products-online)

The online store lists the POS products you choose on your booking site. Customers add them to a bag, pay by card, and pick their order up at your location. Online orders are POS orders, so they show up in your orders list, stock and POS Sales report alongside everything rung up on the register.

The store is off until you turn it on, and no product is listed until you mark it **Sell online**.

Prerequisites [#prerequisites]

* POS is enabled for the location (see [Set Up POS](/how-to/pos/set-up-pos)).
* Stripe is connected, since online orders are paid by card.
* The **Point of Sale: Edit** permission to change POS settings, and **Point of Sale: Catalog** to mark products for sale online.

1\. Turn On the Store [#1-turn-on-the-store]

1. Go to **Dashboard > POS > Settings**.
2. In the **Online Store** section, tick **Sell products online**.
3. Under **Pickup instructions**, tell customers where and when to collect their order (for example, "Collect from the front desk, open 9am to 5pm daily"). These appear at checkout and in the order emails.
4. Click **Save Changes**.

After you save, the section shows your **Store link**. Use **Copy** to share it or add it to your website.

2\. Choose What to Sell [#2-choose-what-to-sell]

1. Go to **Dashboard > POS > Products** and open a product.
2. Turn on **Sell online** and click **Save**.

**Sell online** is separate from **Show on register**: a product can be sold online only, at the register only, or both. Archived products are never sold online. Listed products show an **Online** badge on the Products page.

The store sells each product with its sizes and colours, at the same price as the register. Sales tax uses the same POS tax settings as the register, since the order is collected at your location.

What Customers See [#what-customers-see]

* A **Shop** link appears in your booking site's header. If the location sells nothing but the store, the booking site opens straight on the store.
* Customers choose sizes or colours, add items to a bag, and check out with their name, email and an optional phone number.
* Checkout shows **Pick up at** your location with your pickup instructions, then the card form.
* After paying they see their order number (for example, `WEB-7K3QX9`) and get a confirmation email with the items, total and pickup details.

Stock [#stock]

Tracked stock can't be oversold online. While a customer is paying, the units in their bag are held for them, for up to 15 minutes. Other customers see those units as unavailable, and the register shows what's left after the hold. If the checkout isn't paid in time, the hold ends and the units are available again.

Untracked products are never held and never run out. See [Manage POS Stock](/how-to/pos/manage-pos-stock).

When an Order Comes In [#when-an-order-comes-in]

Staff get an **Online Store Orders** notification (in-app, push and email by default; change it in your notification preferences). The order appears in **Dashboard > POS > Orders** with an **Online** badge.

1. Prepare the order, then open it and click **Mark Ready for Pickup**. The customer gets a "ready for pickup" email.
2. When the customer collects it, click **Mark Picked Up**.

You can mark an order picked up without marking it ready first. To see everything still waiting to be collected, choose **Awaiting Pickup** in the orders list's channel filter. See [Manage POS Orders](/how-to/pos/manage-pos-orders).

Refunds [#refunds]

Refund an online order like any POS order. A full refund before pickup cancels the pickup. Online store sales carry your Resytech platform fee, like other online sales (sales rung up on the register don't), and refunding an online order returns that fee in proportion to the amount refunded.
