# Send Waivers to Customers (/how-to/waivers/send-waivers-to-customers)

Send a waiver signing request email so customers can review and sign before they arrive. The email includes a branded "Sign Waiver" button that takes them directly to the signing page.

Send from a Booking [#send-from-a-booking]

Use this when you want to send a waiver linked to a specific booking. The signing link includes the booking reference so the signed waiver is automatically associated with the reservation.

1. Open the booking and click the **Waivers** tab.
2. Click the **Send Waiver** button at the top of the tab.
3. In the dialog, select which **waiver** to send from the dropdown.
4. Check the **recipients** you want to send to. The booking customer is pre-selected. Guests with email addresses are also listed.
5. Click **Send Waiver**.

A confirmation message shows how many recipients were sent to. The email delivery is logged in the booking's communication history.

Notes [#notes]

* If the booking customer also appears in the guest list with the same email, they are shown only once to avoid duplicate emails.
* You can send different waivers to different recipients by repeating the process.

Send from the Waiver Page [#send-from-the-waiver-page]

Use this when you want to send a waiver outside of a booking context — for example, sending a general liability waiver to a group organizer before they book.

1. Navigate to **Waivers** in the sidebar and open the waiver you want to send.
2. Click the **Send Waiver** button in the action bar (next to Edit, Preview, and QR Code).
3. In the dialog, find recipients by:
   * **Searching your CRM** — type a name, email, or phone number to search your customer list. Click a result to add them.
   * **Entering an email manually** — type an email address and click **Add**.
4. Review the recipient list. Click the **X** on any chip to remove a recipient.
5. Click **Send Waiver**.

Automate with a Workflow [#automate-with-a-workflow]

You can automatically send waiver signing requests when certain events happen — for example, when a booking is confirmed.

1. Navigate to **Marketing > Workflows** and create or edit a workflow.
2. Add an action node and select **Send Waiver Sign Request**.
3. Configure the action:
   * **Waiver** — select which waiver to send
   * **Send To** — choose `Customer`, `Guests Only`, `Customer & Guests`, or `Custom Email`
4. Connect it to a trigger (e.g., Booking Confirmed) and save the workflow.

The signing link will automatically include the booking reference when the workflow is triggered from a booking event.

For more on building workflows, see [Workflow Automation](/docs/marketing/workflows).

What the customer receives [#what-the-customer-receives]

The customer receives a branded email with:

* Your company logo and name
* The waiver name
* A prominent **Sign Waiver** button linking to the signing page
* Your contact phone and email for questions

Tips [#tips]

* **Send early.** Sending waivers at booking confirmation gives customers time to sign before their visit, reducing check-in delays.
* **Use workflows for consistency.** Automating waiver delivery ensures every customer receives the signing request without manual effort.
* **Check the communication log.** Each sent waiver is recorded in the communication history, so you can verify delivery from the booking detail or CRM customer profile.
