Forms, tracking and reviews
Contact and newsletter forms, search listings, analytics with visitor consent, and guest reviews from your surveys.
Contact and newsletter forms
The Contact form and Newsletter sections send submissions straight to your CRM, the same way forms embedded with the Resytech client library do:
- A contact form submission adds or updates a contact (or matches an existing customer by phone number) and emails your location's contact email address.
- A newsletter sign-up adds a contact who has agreed to hear from you.
Forms are protected against spam automatically. You don't need your own reCAPTCHA keys for your Resytech website. Forms are switched off in previews so test messages never reach your CRM.
Search listings
Each page has a title and description that search engines show in results. Resytech writes sensible ones for you, such as "Sunset Kayak Tour | Salt Water Charters". To write your own, open Template settings > Search and tracking: it edits the listing for the page selected above the preview. Activity pages always use each activity's own name and description.
Your website also gets a sitemap, a robots file and structured data for your business and activities automatically.
Analytics and tracking
In Template settings > Search and tracking you can add:
- a Google Analytics 4 measurement ID (starts with
G-), - a Google Tag Manager container ID (starts with
GTM-), - a Meta Pixel ID (a number from Events Manager).
New websites copy the Google Analytics and Meta Pixel IDs from your checkout settings, so your website and checkout report to the same place.
Ask visitors before loading tracking is on by default. Visitors then see a short cookie notice, and tracking only starts after they click Accept. The EU and UK require this. If none of your visitors are in places with such rules, you can turn it off so tracking starts straight away. Visitors can change their choice from Cookie settings in the footer; a visitor who declines is never tracked, whichever setting you choose. Tracking never runs in previews or in the editor.
On a free resytech.site address only Google Analytics runs. Google Tag Manager and the Meta Pixel need your own domain, because every free address shares one parent domain and those tools would share cookies and scripts across other businesses' websites.
Guest reviews
Show what guests said in your post-booking surveys on your website.
- Open Template settings > Guest reviews. You'll see highly rated reviews that include a written answer: 4 or 5 stars on a 5-star survey, or the same share of the stars on a 3-star or 10-star survey (for example 8 of 10).
- Tick Show on website on the ones you want.
- Optionally change Shown as. By default a guest is shown by first name and last initial, like "Ana S.", never their full name or email.
The quote is the guest's answer to a question asking for a testimonial or review, such as the default survey's "Would you like to leave a testimonial we can share?". If your survey has no such question, it is their first other written answer. Answers to questions about what could be better are never quoted.
Chosen reviews appear in your Testimonials sections, newest first, after any quotes you typed into the section yourself. The home page includes a Testimonials section in both templates; it stays hidden until there is something to show.
Like your activities and prices, reviews update on your live website within about a minute, without publishing.
