Push Notifications

Push notifications let you receive real-time alerts on your device when important events happen, such as new bookings, cancellations, or payment updates. They work in the Resytech app on iOS and Android, and in desktop browsers.

The steps below are the same either way. In the app, alerts are delivered through Apple's and Google's notification services; in a browser, through Web Push.

Enabling Push Notifications

1. Navigate to Dashboard > Profile (click your name or avatar in the top right)
2. Scroll down to the Notification Preferences section
3. You will see a blue Enable Push Notifications banner. Click the Enable Push button
4. When your device or browser asks for permission, tap Allow

Once enabled, the banner changes to a green Push Notifications Active confirmation, and a new Push column appears in the notification preferences table. You can then toggle push on or off for each individual event type (new bookings, cancellations, etc.) just like email and SMS.

To verify everything is working, click the Send Test button on the green banner to send yourself a test notification.

iPhone & iPad

On iPhones and iPads, push notifications require the Resytech app. Safari on its own does not deliver them, so the notification preferences page will prompt you to install the app first.

Download it from the App Store, sign in, then enable push from Profile > Notification Preferences inside the app. See Installing the App.

Notification Channels

Resytech supports multiple notification channels. You can enable or disable each channel independently from the Notification Preferences page:

Each notification type (new booking, cancellation, etc.) can be configured separately, so you can choose to receive push notifications for new bookings but only email for cancellations, for example.

Managing Permissions

If you accidentally denied the notification permission prompt, you will need to re-enable it in your device or browser settings:

iOS (app)

1. Open Settings > Resytech > Notifications
2. Toggle Allow Notifications on
3. Return to Profile > Notification Preferences in the app and enable push again, so this device registers with the server

Android (app)

1. Open Settings > Apps > Resytech > Notifications
2. Toggle notifications on
3. Return to Profile > Notification Preferences in the app and enable push again

Android (Chrome)

1. Open Chrome > Settings > Site settings > Notifications
2. Find the Resytech Dashboard site and set to Allow

Desktop (Chrome)

1. Click the lock icon in the address bar next to the site URL
2. Set Notifications to Allow
3. Reload the page

Disabling Push Notifications

To stop receiving push notifications for specific events, toggle off the Push switch next to that event type in the notification preferences table, then click Save Preferences.

To stop this device receiving push entirely, click Turn Off on the green Push Notifications Active banner. The Enable Push banner reappears so you can turn it back on later. You can also revoke the permission in your device or browser settings (see Managing Permissions above).
