Waivers
Create a Waiver
How to create a new digital waiver in Resytech so you can start building your liability agreement or consent form.
Create a waiver whenever you need a new digital agreement for your customers -- liability releases, equipment damage waivers, photo/video consent forms, health declarations, or any other document that requires a signature.
Before you begin
- You need access to the Resytech Dashboard.
- Decide on a descriptive name for your waiver (e.g., "Jet Ski Liability Waiver" or "Photo Release Form").
Steps
- In the sidebar, click Waivers to open the waivers list page.
- Click the Create Waiver button. A creation dialog appears.
- Enter a Waiver Name. This name is displayed to customers at the top of the signing page and is used internally to identify the waiver.
- Click Create Waiver.
- You are redirected to the waiver detail page for your new waiver, where you can open the editor to start building the form.
Field reference
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Waiver Name | Yes | A descriptive name for the waiver. Must be unique within your location (case-insensitive). |
What happens next
- The waiver is created with an empty form (
[]). No fields are configured yet. - The submission count starts at zero, and the waiver is not favorited by default.
- Open the waiver and click the edit button to launch the waiver editor and start adding fields.
- The waiver will not be signable by customers until you add at least a Signer Identity component and save.
Tips
- Name uniqueness is case-insensitive. "Liability Waiver" and "liability waiver" are treated as the same name and the second will be rejected.
- You can rename a waiver later from the waiver properties modal inside the editor.
- Plan your waiver content before building. Sketch out which fields you need (legal name, email, signature, consent checkboxes, etc.) to make the editor workflow faster.
