Publish / Unpublish an Activity
How to control whether an activity is visible and bookable on your website.
Use this guide to make an activity live on your booking website, or to take it offline when you need to hide it from customers.
Understanding Publish State
Every activity has a published or unpublished state:
- Published -- The activity is visible on your booking website and customers can book it. A green "Published" badge appears in the dashboard.
- Unpublished -- The activity is hidden from your booking website. Customers cannot see or book it. An "Unpublished" badge appears in the dashboard. Existing bookings for the activity are not affected.
New activities are always created in an unpublished state.
Publish an Activity
- Go to Activities > [Activity Name] > Settings > General.
- Scroll to the Publishing & Status section at the bottom of the page.
- Toggle the Publishing Control switch to the on position.
- A confirmation dialog appears: "Are you sure you want to publish? The moment this Activity is published, it is visible on your website and customers can start booking."
- Click Publish to confirm.
The change takes effect immediately. The activity is now live.
Unpublish an Activity
- Go to Activities > [Activity Name] > Settings > General.
- Scroll to the Publishing & Status section.
- Toggle the Publishing Control switch to the off position.
- A confirmation dialog appears: "Are you sure you want to unpublish? The moment this Activity is unpublished, it is no longer visible on your website and customers can not book."
- Click Unpublish to confirm.
The activity is immediately removed from your booking website.
Before You Publish
Before publishing, make sure you have configured:
- Scheduling -- At minimum, set available dates and times so customers see bookable slots.
- Pricing -- Ensure the pricing type and any modifiers are correct.
- Manifest -- Set guest limits if applicable.
- Media -- Upload at least one photo for the listing.
Publishing an activity with incomplete settings will result in a poor customer experience.
Tips
- Unpublishing does not cancel existing bookings. Customers who already booked will still have their reservations. It only prevents new bookings.
- Use unpublish as a temporary measure when you need to make significant changes to an activity's settings without customers booking during the transition.
- You can check an activity's publish state at a glance from the activity settings header, which shows a green "Published" or gray "Unpublished" badge.
