Equipment & Rentals

Manage your rental equipment catalog, availability, and add-ons.

Track your fleet, manage availability, and let customers choose exactly what they want to rent. Equipment in Resytech represents the physical items your business rents out -- kayaks, bikes, jet skis, paddleboards, or any other rentable inventory. Each piece of equipment has its own settings for quantity, capacity, pricing, media, properties, add-ons, and amenities.

Key Concepts

  • Equipment catalog — your inventory of rentable items with photos, descriptions, and properties
  • Quantity — the number of identical units you own (e.g., 10 single kayaks). Resytech uses this count to determine real-time availability.
  • Capacity — maximum number of guests a single unit can hold (e.g., a tandem kayak has a capacity of 2)
  • Default occupancy — the number of guests each unit inherently carries (e.g., 1 for a jet ski, 2 for a tandem kayak). Used for automatic seat calculations in bookings.
  • Real-time availability — automatic tracking prevents double bookings across all activities
  • Custom properties — size, color, type, or any attribute relevant to your items, with optional icons and featured badges
  • Add-ons — optional extras attached to equipment (helmets, life jackets, GPS units) with configurable quantity limits
  • Amenities — tags for easy filtering (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth speaker, cooler)
  • Activity assignments — equipment can be assigned to one or more activities, with per-activity quantity limits and enable/disable toggles
  • Cross-activity exclusivity — mark equipment as exclusive so availability is blocked across all activities, not just the one being booked
  • Multi-day rentals — intelligent duration calculations for longer rental periods
  • Equipment media — upload and order multiple photos to showcase your equipment to customers
  • Enabled/disabled state — toggle equipment visibility without deleting it from your catalog

How Equipment Connects to Activities

Equipment is assigned to activities to make it available for booking. When you assign equipment to an activity, you configure:

  • Quantity — how many units of this equipment are available for that specific activity (can be less than or equal to your total inventory)
  • Enabled — whether the equipment is currently offered for this activity

Activities also have equipment-level settings:

  • Max equipment per booking — limits how many equipment items a single booking can include
  • Allow equipment mixing — whether customers can select different types of equipment in the same booking

Equipment Performance Dashboard

Each piece of equipment has a performance dashboard that tracks:

  • Rentals created — total number of rental bookings
  • Rentals serviced — completed rentals
  • Net revenue and Gross revenue — financial performance
  • Booking sources — pie chart showing where bookings originate
  • Revenue and rental trends — line charts over time
  • Calendar view — visual timeline of upcoming bookings
