Sell Item Styles in One Session
Let customers pick multiple priced items (styles, options, products) in a single booking — ideal for craft studios, classes, and workshops.
Some businesses sell a session where each guest picks what they'll make or use: a creative studio offering mosaic lamps, moss art, and canvas painting in the same class; a workshop with several project options at different prices. In Resytech you model each option as equipment with its own price, group them with equipment categories, and cap the room with a session participant limit.
When set up this way, customers pick quantities across all your options with photos and prices, choose one date and time, and pay once — one booking for the whole group.
How it fits together
| Piece | Role |
|---|---|
| Activity | The bookable session (schedule, times, duration). Base price usually $0.00 |
| Equipment | Each style/option, priced via Additional Price, with its own photos |
| Equipment categories | The headings that group options on the booking page (e.g. "Mosaic Lamp", "Moss Art") |
| Session Participant Limit | Caps total people per time slot across all options combined (your room size) |
Steps
1. Create the activity
- Create a Standard (equipment rental) activity — e.g. "Creative Workshop".
- Set the base price to
0.00so item prices carry the full cost (or use a base price as a per-booking room fee). - Configure your class schedule with fixed start times.
- In the activity's Settings, enable Allow Equipment Mixing and set Max Equipment Per Booking above 1.
- In the capacity settings, set the Session Participant Limit to your room size (e.g.
35).
2. Create each style as equipment
For each option customers can pick:
- Dashboard > Equipment > Create Equipment
- Name it as the customer sees it (e.g. "Mosaic Lamp — Medium")
- Set Additional Price to the item's full price (e.g.
95.00) - Set Default Occupancy to
1(each item = one participant) and Quantity to at least your room size - Upload photos — customers see them while choosing
- Assign it to the activity
3. Group the styles with categories
- Dashboard > Checkout Settings > Equipment Categories (or the Manage Categories button on the Equipment page)
- Create one category per experience (e.g. "Mosaic Lamp" with a hero photo and tagline)
- Check each style that belongs to it and order them
By default the category photo appears as a small thumbnail beside the category title. To feature it as a full-width banner instead, set Equipment Category Display to Large Image in checkout settings.
4. What customers see
On the activity page customers get style cards grouped under your category headings — photo, price, and a quantity stepper — plus the date and time picker on the same page. Time slots show how many spots remain in each session, and checkout is blocked with "this session is full" once the participant limit is reached.
Tips
- A group of 3 picking 3 different styles is one booking — 3 people counted against the session limit, one payment, one confirmation.
- Per-style stock still applies. If you only have 10 moss art kits, set that equipment's Quantity to 10 — the session limit and per-style stock are enforced together.
- Add-ons still work and attach to the style they're assigned to.
